Nothing like a new stamp set to spark some creativity! Like it a Latte is my newest acquisition.
I have seen it stamped alot in browns but wanted to do something different. I had this Dashing paper left from my Christmas workshop and I remembered a hotel in France with these gorgeous red striped awnings. And so the idea for this card was born. I used my current favourite punch (Scallop Circle) for the greeting, used my corner rounder for the scallop edged curtain and red brads to hold the "curtain" up. Red gingham ribbon was used for the "table cloth". I also used the Polka Dot backgound stamp on the real red background card. If you would like to make one of these cards, call me and book a workshop!
Just back from SU Melbourne Regionals. Had a fabulous day. Met up with lots of SU demo friends, got all inspired from the speakers and demonstrations , had a yummy lunch and got a free stamp set. And we got to stamp and swap cards. Great day out, good value and came home exhausted! Here is my swap. I only made 30 this year (ran out of time) and it proved very popular...should have made more!!
When I needed a Get Well card, the Bodacious Bouquet stamp set immediately came to mind. I wanted to layer the flowers and customized the colours for the recipient. I stamped the large flowers with Apricot Appeal, the daisies with Lavender Lace and the small dimensionalized flowers with Pale Plum to match the base card. The leaves were stamped with Mellow Moss. I used Sincere Salutations for the greeting and So Saffron brads in the middle of the daisies. (Soft Subtles mixed brads) These brads are great value with 50 each of 4 colours in a box. They really add a little something to a card. Brads and dimensionals are my favourite add ons to my cards!

Don't these SU Urban West rub-ons just finish off this page beautifully! You get black and white in the same pack. The white rub-ons are stunning on the black page. I have also created a dimensional flower as an accent. The scallop circle punch works beautifully to create layered flowers. Just layer the punched or fabric flowers on top and add a bling brad to finish off.
I've had fun scrapping my son's deb photos.
I've used some styled silver hodgepodge on this page and some half pearls on the prima flowers.
Some gorgeous glitter stickers finished off my page.
