Vintage Santa

This card was the result of experimenting with a new technique.
This lovely Vintage Santa from the Good Cheer set has been begging for me to play with for some time. However my time has been taken up recently with Stamp a stack prep so it has been on the backburner.
The cut out has been created with the Top Note die (see earlier post).
The ink colour is (my new favorite for Vintage stamping) Soft Suede as is the cardstock..all matching nicely :) I have created a glittery surface with embossing powder mixed with Dazzling diamonds glitter.
If you would like to see this technique demonstrated, ask me about booking a workshop and I will show you how!

Thank You cards

I have been catching up on some cards I need to send and having a play with some new products :)
This beautiful thank you stamp (Engraved Greetings) is hidden away at the back of the catalogue amongst the kits. You can, however, buy this stamp set (of 2) separately and I loved it as soon as I saw it.
It goes perfectly with these Vintage style cards which are finished off perfectly with the new lace that is coming out in the Summer mini catalogue.
I have used current wheels for the backgrounds of both these cards (Music notes and Very vintage..one of my favorites!) The flourish image is from the Elements of Style set.
Some of the images are from my non-Su stash but they are complemented beautifully by my SU stamps. Two of the papers are from my retired stash, but the Baja striped paper is from the new pack coming in the mini. Love this Vintage style!

Oldy Worldy Christmas card

This is my vintage card version of Welcome Christmas.
I love this set!
The cardstock is Soft Suede and the paper is Christmas Cocoa from the Welcome Christmas bundle. It has been aged, distressed and spritzed.
See my current newsletter for more details.
Love this one!

Welcome Christmas gift bag

This is a little gift bag project I created with the Welcome Christmas bundle currently available until November 30.
I took the idea from the gift card on the SU website and turned it into a simple little gift bag.
I used the Welcome Christmas stamp set and the Christmas Cocoa DSP and the free Mistletoe Ribbon which all came in the bundle. The cardstock is the new Cherry Cobbler.
This is a pretty cute little gift that you could fill with a small cello bag of lollies, perfect for a teacher gift or for the Christmas tree or table.

My Swap

This cute card is one of the swaps I made for the recent SU training day held in Melbourne.
I had a fantastic day learning new techniques and meeting up with old friends from previous SU events. We were treated to a yummy lunch and some of us (ME, ME!!!) were lucky enough to win a free stamp set from the upcoming Summer mini catalogue.
This cute card uses the Birthday Bakery stamp set which you can earn for free by holding a qualifying workshop. I have used the Concord Crush (new fav colour) cardstock and the In-colour paper pad. This card also uses the Scallop circle die cut for the Big Shot.
This was my prototype. The finished swap also had some matching Concord Crush ribbon and embossed dots on the concord crush background card.
These cards literally flew out of my hands in a blink, so I guess I did something right!

Mini Milk carton Gifts

Aren't these little mini milk cartons just gorgeous!
So quick and easy to make with the Big Shot.
The box is cut and scored in one simple step.
You could whip up quite a few of these in a very short time.
The Halloween box was a gift from my good friend EVA who made eighteen to give away to the lucky neighbourhood trick and treaters.
The Christmas box is cased from the current SU catalogue. You could also stamp Chrsitmas images on the box and hang on your Christmas tree or as little gifts on your Christmas table. They would also be ideal teacher gifts.
The beauty of these little boxes is that they don't take much to fill...some M&Ms or a few jelly beans is all it takes.
