Blooming with Beauty

This is the card I made for my Mum.
I really love this set! I stamped my flower onto an oval cut out with black stazon ink and watercoloured it to match my card. The cardstock is Regal Rose and the DSP is from the Sweet Always pack. I embossed in white the Mother's day image from the Occasional Greetings set and added a pink taffeta bow. There is a little scalloped red strip there in the join too. The background was created with my Friendly words wheel...a great cursive script background.

Colour Renovation

Big news from Stampin Up!
From the new catalogue (due for release in September), the existing Colour families are in for a revamp.
What does this mean for you? There will be some new colours introduced and some of our old colours will be deleted. This affects ALL Stampin Up! products across the range. So the co-ordinating ink pads, cardstock, markers, pastels, ribbons, brads, DSP, etc in all colours being deleted will no longer be available (after 1st Sepember).
In addition, the colour families will be in for a re-shuffle. So some colours will shift families and the neutrals (black, white, kraft, grey, brown, vanilla) will be integrated into one of the colour families.
So it is probably a good idea to check your supplies and purchase reinkers if you have any of the ink pads that are going and also stock up on your favourite cardstock colours. Stocks will run low toward the end of the run-out period.

Old favourites

I have been madly making cards for a Mother's day stall. I decided to use up some of my retired and retiring stash of cardstock. In the process, I rediscovered some old favourites. Don't you love it when you rediscover something you always liked but had forgotten about? This lovely set "Bloomin' with Beauty' was perfect for my mother's day projects and I had a lot of fun with my water colouring as well. I pulled out my Almost Amethyst cardstock (soon to be retired) and in looking for a good colour combo, found some old Vintage Violet cardstock. I love these colours together! So I coloured in my flowers to match, added some glitter and some white taffeta ribbon. I used some new product as well: the Very Vintage wheel and a happy mother's day sentiment from ""Teeny Tiny Sentiments". I was pretty happy with this card. I hope all the recipients were as well!
