Beau Chateau Christmas card in Pink

I am in love with the paper from the Beau Chateau pack...and not just because it is French!
I had the idea that it would make lovely shabby Chic Christmas cards and I came up with a couple to share.
I had the Christmas set Merry and Type on my desk so went with that...
I stamped my image with Riding Hood Red (not too vibrant a red) and had the idea to emboss it to make it look like snowflakes on a window??? (Petals a Plenty embossing folder). I played around with colours and settled on Pink Pirouette (going for shabby chic) and vanilla with a touch of Soft Suede, a lovely vintage colour. I punched my greeting with the Decorative label punch, punched another one in pink and added some pearls (very shabby chic).
I added a border with the Dotted Scallop ribbon border punch in brushed gold for a touch of Christmas bling.
Voila! My shabby Chic Christmas card!

My piano scrapbook page

I'm having a lovely lazy Sunday, taking some time out to spend crafting.
The idea for this scrapbook page has been hovering in my mind for a week or so and I've finally completed it.
I know I wanted to include circles of music paper (Newsprint from last catty) and space for journalling. I layed out my photo and music circles on a couple of sheets from my paper stack
and I thought the green a good combination. I often like to have a border around my page and went for Early Expresso to reflect the colours in my photo.
There are a couple of great sheets of journalling lined paper in the Beau Chateau DSP pack and I used one of those for the journalling. I punched the edge with my spiral punch and added some detail with a flourish stamp from Elements of Style set. I punched a black strip with the NEW and lovely Dotted Scallop ribbon Border punch (can see this one getting a workout!) and added an antique brad. I used a round tab punch to draw attention to the photo and added a tiny flower and a rhinestone for some girly bling.
I finished the page with my punched circles and some buttons from the neutrals pack...I thought it reinforced the ebony and ivory thing from the piano keys!
Another memory stored in my photo album!

A gift pouch

This is one of the new Big Shot dies called Petite Pocket.
I have also used my new favourite In-colour, Island Indigo to create my pouch.
The butterfly and word stamps are from Creative Elements stamp set.
The Tag is from the Lots of Tags Sizzlit set.
The scalloped dotty ribbon is also new.
Loving my new toys!

Bright and beautiful Butterflies

This is the second of my sketch challenge cards.
See how a brighter DSP and inks give you a completely different look?
I have again used my Creative Elements stamp set.
The paper this time is from the Cheerful treat pack.
This time I added a larger square behind the scallop squares.
I used the backside of one of the sheets for my dotty mat.
This is a bright cheerful card to brighten someone's day.

A little bit French

I made this card as one of two cards for a sketch challenge at Vic Stampers. This is my most favourite set from the new catalogue. The stamp set is called Creative Elements. It has a bit of everything...background, words, frames, borders, a flower and a butterfly...I would use them all both in my cards and my scrapbooks. Love it! The paper scallop squares I cut with my punch. The paper is from the very beautiful Beau Chateau pack. It's French so I had to have it, right!!!

Lots of Doilies

There is a real trend at the moment for doilies, both in the cardmaking and scrapbooking worlds.
As usual, Stampin Up is right up with the new trends and we have both doilies, stamps and papers in our new Idea book.
This card I created with my new stash! The background paper and doily are from the new paper pack Flirtatious Specialty. There are two whole sheets of laser cut doilies that you can cut apart or use as a piece. They come in two colours and the back of them are white. So you can just turn them over and make them white or whatever colour you like with your inks!
This is a very delicate card with the lace and lace edge punch.
I have also used one of the new embossing frames folders...these are gorgeous!
Some pearls and stamped flowers just finish this gorgeous card off!

This little piggy

This was a card I made recently for one of my son's friends.
I wanted something a bit humourous...
This cute little piggy comes from a set called button buddies. It is a really fun set that you can embellish with buttons.
I added a cute little party hat and a greeting from Party Hearty (now retired).
I cut a scallop circle with my Big Shot and embossed it with the dotty embossing folder to give some texture to my card. I hand made the little roses and punched the leaves with my leaf sizzlit die.
Pretty cute card!

Pennant punch card

Last month I was concentrating on cards for men.
I was also playing with my new goodies...the Pennant Punch and the matching stamp set and paper.
This is one thing that Stamping Up does really well...building products that go together effortlessly. If you choose things out of one suite you can be sure to have things that will coordinate.
There are a number of product suites in the new catalogue. If you don't already have one, give me a call. I will also be recomencing workshops next month if you want to have a play with some new goodies.
Fro this card I have used the new in-colour Island Indigo for my card base. The paper is from the Just add cake pack. The stamp set is Pennant Parade.

For Dads who like Music

This was a card I designed for a Father's Day workshop.
I used Cajun Craze for my card base and for stamping the sentiment.
We used the Music wheel and the Decorative label punch and also the Bird punch for the bird and branch. I gave my bird a little red breast!

More Fathers day Goodies

This little bag/box we created in my workshops last month.
It is completed with just one piece of A4 cardstock (in this case Concord Crush).
The sweet little stamp set is called Sweetheart which fits the Heart punch perfectly.
The paper is from the In-colour pack (Concord Crush).
I scalloped the top edge of my bag with the scallop edge punch.
The letters are made with the timeless Type sizzlit dies and the Big Shot in tempting turquoise.
The sentiment is from the Teeny tiny sentiments stamp set.
I also made one of these boxes in Cajun Craze and placed a real red heart in the middle to match my previous card. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo before I gave it away!

Fathers Day card

This is a card I designed for Fathers' Day with the new Petite Pennants punch and matching Pennant Parade stamp set. Both my husband and my father play golf so the card suited both!
I made it in 2 colourways (I will share the other one shortly).
The paper is from the new pack called Just add Cake. This is a great "occasions" pack.
I have made quite a few cards from this pack already!
This card would also be suitable for a birthday card by just changing the sentiment (see the Teeny tiny sentiments stamp set).

Scrapbooking loss

For me, scrapbooking is all about recording my memories supported by photos.
It is a place for me to record my thoughts.
This is a page I created as a healing process. This month we lost my much loved mother-in-law.
This is a treasured photo taken last year.
I was inspired by a layout I saw at convention with this punched heart design.
I received some gorgeous new papers recently called Cheerful Treat and I loved this paper
in the pack for my page design. The lettering is done with my Big Shot and the Timeless Type sizzlits set. This is my favourite lettering for my scrapbook titles as it is a perfect size.
I have teamed the paper with Bashful Blue and Concord Crush cardstock.
The buttons are from the brights button collection.
