21st birthday Inspiration

I need quite a few 21st Birthday cards over the coming months so I have been trying out some new techniques and making some of those needed cards as well.

This one is a technique I learned on the net.
Basically you stamp the coloured images, overstamp them with a large solid stamp and clear emboss it.
Then you brayer over the whole lot with a darker ink.

The stamp set I have used is Extreme Elements which is due to retire from our catalogue at the end of this month.  This is a really useful stamp set for creating interesting backgrounds.

I have also been playing with my new scoring board.  I love how it has so many scoring lines.
I have created a really cool background by scoring and sanding to highlight the score lines.

This card I have used masking techniques to create both my background and my focal image.
The stamp set for the greeting is one we got at Convention called Memorable Moments.  It's great for those special occasion cards...both birthdays and anniversaries.  You'll have to wait until September 1 for this one!
The key is from Artistic Etchings.  I have used Pacific Point card and matching ink for this card.

London Olympics inspiration

I'm not really into watching alot of sport...I'd much rather craft.
However, I really enjoyed all the Equestrian events at this years London Olympic games.
I like to document our year and so I created this page about the Olympic games and how I spent my week!
I can't take credit for the photos(obviously I wasn't there) but I found these on a media website.

My background is the new Midnight Muse.  You can also see one of the lovely new stamp sets to come in our new catalogue (due for relase in 2 weeks time!)  The decorative circle stamp is from Daydream medallions...watch out for that one!  We got it FREE at Convention!

I have again used my tasteful trim die for the borders and the medium sixxlit dies for my title.  The Live with Passion sentiment is from Inspired by Nature.  I think you have to have a real passion for your chosen field to make it to the Olympics!  The rings I created with my circle punches!  The ribbons at the top were just strips of cardstock I ran thru the Big Shot with some embossing folders and clipped the edges to shape.

I hope these pages inspire you!
I promise to upload some cards next!

A moment with SU Royalty

One of the perks of attending Convention has to be meeting Shelli Gardner, co-founder of Stampin Up!
This page was inspired by a swap card I received at Convention...also a benefit of attending, you get to swap with some awesome stampers!

My background paper is from the Beau Chateau pack.  The stamped border at the side was created with the Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I created my title with the Medium Sizzlit dies and the Shelli banner with my Lovely letters stamp set.  I added some lace and taffeta ribbon and punched a small piece with the Lace ribbon border punch.  The flower accent was created with the new Blossom flower punch and some brown packing paper with a Vintage brad to hold it all together.
This page so reminds me of Shelli herself...lace and vintage styles!

Canberra Scrapbook page

Hmm, seems like I haven't posted in a while!

I have been crafting!  I think I had a problem with uploading photos last time.
Anyhow, here's some inspiration!

Here's a scrapbook page I completed after our trip to Canberra for the annual Stampin Up Convention.
I'm into stitching on my pages at the moment!
I've used  the gorgeous Island indigo cardstock for my background.
The stamp set for the leaves is French Foliage and the punches are Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch and large scallop circle.  I've also used the medium sizzlit alphabet for my title and the Tasteful trim die for my border.  I love building up my background with the French foliage set!  Hope you like it!
