I have been experimenting with some scrapbook challenges over the last week and I was fortunate to have taken some lovely photos on Mothers Day that I could use in my pages.
The Challenge undertaken for this page was the stamped and stitched frame.
The technique is pretty easy; mask off the centre of the page and stamp around the edge of the mask with a variety of smallish stamps in various colours to create the frame, when the mask is removed.
For this frame I used the Delicate doileys stamp set, the Always stamp set and the For Everything stamp set.
The sample page was originally white but my photo leant more to a vintage colour so I used Blushing Bride cardstock.
To finish the frame, I stitched around the inside edge with Bakers twine. I used my pokey tool to prepare the holes before stitching....a basic backstitch. It was a bit time consuming but a very rewarding result - I love it!
I hope you can give it a go.
