Loving the In-colour paper stack

Here's another cute card - this time I've used the new Poppy Parade and the matching DSP from the In-colour paper stack. You can get this 6 x 6 paper stack for free just by holding a workshop. I also LOVE the new Modern label punch. It's surprising how many word stamps in my stash fit this cute little label. This is another easel card held up with a button from the brights pack.

How did she do it?

Want to know how I created my shape with the Top Note?

Here's the layout. Pass your top note die through the Big Shot once, then turn the shape 90 degrees lining up the points,
then pass it through again.

You end up with this cute shape to use and a bonus two brackets!

Cool hey!

More Daffodil Delight

How's this little cutie? I was playing with my new Friends never fade stamp set and came up with this one. The base card and ink is Daffadil Delight and the paper is from the Greenhouse Gala DSP pack.

Cute Idea

Every other week, some friends and I get together to share stamps, colour in and chat...sounds like fun, doesn't it (you should try it!)

This little easel card was made with one of those images!
I am really loving the new SU paper stacks...I have the brights and plan to get more!
You get 4 double sided sheets of each colour it that colour family (40 sheets) so putting them together is so easy.

I stumbled across this colour combo quite by accident...read lots of bits strewn across the table...ha, ha!!!
My base card is Soft Suede and the paper and buttery yellow card is the new Daffodil Delight.

I have again stamped the flowers with the Punch Pourri set and mounted them onto a leaf from the bird punch to create the stem.

The label is the new Modern label (love it) and the little button is from the brights button pack...that holds my easel up.

The Daffodil Delight Label that the image is mounted on was created with....wait for it...the Top note die!
This would have to be one of my most used dies for the Big Shot...so versatile.

I just know the recipient is going to love this card!

Want to know how to make it? Just ask at my next workshop.

Greenhouse Gala Scrapbook page

This is the promised scrapbook page made with the new Peach parfait in-colour and Greenhouse Gala DSP.

I find inspiration for my scrapbooking in lots of different places.
The grid layout for this one came from a page I saw in a magazine.
I always try to view layouts I see that I like as a page map.
I took the grid pattern idea and made it my own!

I like the combination of the different sides of the DSP and I know the colours will all work together.
Some of the patterns in this paper range are quite bold but when you only use a piece the end result is harmonious.

I have used new stamp sets Friends never Fade and the hostess set Punch Potpourri.
I used the matching Peach Parfait ink for a subtle effect.
The flowers were stamped with Baja Breeze and have some sticky bling centres.
I also used the new Scallop Trim border punch - LOVE this one - with Baja Breeze.
I gave my page a border with Choc Chip cardstock.

Do you like the heart/bird punch embellishment? So elegant!
I'm pretty happy with this one!

New papers

One of the things I love about a new Stampin' Up catalogue is having a whole lot of new papers and colour combinations to play with. I had this elephant image all stamped up just waiting for an occasion to use it. I thought the bright fun Celebrations DSP would go perfectly with my circus theme child's card. I have noticed a real trend for flags and banners at the moment and incorporated a little line of flags created with the party hat images from the Party Hearty stamp set and my SU markers. I used some tiny letter stamps to create the happy birthday greeting and a chip board circle covered with DSP with a glittery "1" sticker to complete the card.

Friends never fade

This is another card I did for a challenge at Vicstampers. This is a lovely stamp set from the new catalogue that is so versatile. For this card I used the 'marker to stamp ' technique to colour the image. The background for the card is the soft Sahara Sand which coordinates with my paper (Bella Bleu). The lacy edge is created with my new scallop trim border punch...such a pretty delicate edge this one! The ribbon is the kraft taffeta ribbon. I have created an awesome scrapbook page with this set and the matching Greenhouse Gala DSP. Not feeling well today...Tyson has shared his cold! So will upload it soon. Stay tuned....
